Meaning
The image as a whole with his motives mainly to point out the possibility of wrong setting of values ​​in the world and among people. The painting points this most out with his most important motif, namely the colors flowing from the bottom up, which everyone notices as the last or not at all, even if they intertwine through all planes of the image. This meaning is also accompanied by a more pronounced motif of light and darkness.
Motif of light- It is at the same time a goal, a path, and guide along the path. It is the goal human pursues, but it is in the forefront, because that goal often does not have to be substantial and more important is the path it leads to it and the lights (other people) that shine on the path bring joy sometimes even instructive pain, lights that human needs and does not want to lose.
Motif of darkness- Symbolizes emptiness, desire, greed, depression. It is behind the light, because the values ​​it symbolizes can occur after reaching the goal which human sets. They can look like doubt about whether the time spent on the way to the goal could not be spend better, or the greed when after reaching the goal human will want to achieve more and more and more.
The whole meaning of the motif of light and darkness underlines the main meaning of the painting. What if everything is the other way around? Isn't the so-called "light at the end of the tunnel" somewhere at the beginning or maybe somewhere in the middle? Or do we walk around the light every day and not see it because we are blinded by our invented light(goal)? What happens when we go after it and reach it, will we be happier or emptier in the end? What if the closer we think we are into the light, the more we get lost in the darkness? And what if light without darkness can't really shine?

Obraz jako celek má svými motivy hlavně poukázat na možnost špatného nastavení hodnot ve světě a mezi lidmi. Nejvíce na to poukazuje svým nejdůležitějším motivem a to barvami stékajícími ze zdola nahoru, kterých si každý všimne úplně jako posledních nebo vůbec i když se proplétají skrz všechny roviny obrazu. Tento význam také doprovází výraznější motiv světla a temnoty.
Motiv světla- Je zde zároveň cílem, cestou, i pomyslným průvodcem po cestě. Je cílem, za kterým člověk jde, ale je v popředí, protože onen cíl často nemusí být podstatný a podstatnější je cesta po které k němu směřuje a světla (jiní lidé) která mu září na cestu, přináší radost někdy i poučnou bolest, světla která potřebuje a nechce ztratit.
Motiv temnoty- Symbolizuje prázdno, touhu, nenasytnost, depresi. Je v pozadí za světlem, protože ony hodnoty, které symbolizuje, mohou nastat po dosažení cíle, který si člověk nastaví. Mohou se projevit jako pochybnosti, zda se s časem stráveným cestou za cílem nedalo naložit lépe, nebo nenasytnost že po dosažení cíle bude chtít dosáhnout další a další a další.
Celý význam motivu světla a temnoty podtrhuje hlavní záměr obrazu. Co když je vše, o co zde jde naopak? Není náhodou takzvané „světlo na konci tunelu“ někde na jeho začátku nebo snad někde uprostřed? Nebo okolo něj každý den procházíme a nevidíme ho v zaslepenosti námi vymyšleným světlem na konci? Co se stane, když za ním dojdeme, budeme pak v konečném výsledku šťastnější, nebo prázdnější? Co když čím blíž si myslíme, že jsme u světla, tím víc se ztrácíme v temnotě? A co když světlo bez temnoty nedokáže opravdu zazářit?
